A Thorough Horoscope Reading Can Tell You a lot About Yourself

Written by psychiclineadmin on March 31, 2009

Like gravity, the pull of the sun, moon, and planets have a strong
effect on anyone’s life. A person skilled at horoscope reading can
offer valuable insight and cogent advice to anyone who comes to him or her seeking insight.

The first step in casting a horoscope is discovering the time and date of your birth. You must obtain specific information about the event, either from a long form birth certificate or, if necessary, from a relative. Your date of birth determines your sun sign.

As the sun moves through the zodiac, it appears in various houses or signs, spending a month in each one. Each house has its sign, and also a ruling god or goddess (who symbolizes eternal qualities) an element, and a nature which can be either fixed, cardinal, or mutable.

Thus Libra, for example, is ruled by Venus, goddess of love. Its element is air. Its nature is cardinal, meaning this house is situated where the sun, having wandered to the extreme of the zodiacal band, turns back to continue to traverse the zodiac once more. Because of this turning, the cardinal quality is sometimes called angularity.

The rising sign is the sign that was at the horizon at the time of the client’s birth. In horoscope reading, if a person was born at dawn, their rising sign is the same as their sun sign. If they were born at sunset, then their rising sign is opposite to their sun sign, the way Aries is opposite Libra in the Zodiac. Persons born at noon or midnight (sun time) will find that their rising sign is at a forty five degree angle to their sun sign in the zodiac. For a Libra these signs are Cancer and Capricorn.

Your moon sign is more difficult to calculate, because of the perceived irregularity of the moon’s path through the zodiac. However, it is possible to calculate it, or have it calculated, on line. These are the big three, the sun sign, the moon sign, and the rising sign. A double or triple intensifies the qualities of your sign, whether good or bad.

In general, your sun sign is your essence, the real you. Your moon sign is your emotional side, the way you react to life and love. Your rising sign is the face you show the world and the way you get things done. So as you can see, it is possible to learn a lot about yourself from your horoscope.

Capricorn – The tenth astrological sign of the zodiac

Written by psychiclineadmin on December 5, 2008

Capricorn - the goat. The tenth astrological sign of the zodiac

Capricorn - the goat. The tenth astrological sign of the zodiac

Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac. It gets it’s name from the constellation Capricornus, but due to the precession of the equinoxes it’s no longer in alignment with it. Capricorn is ruled by the Sun. If your birthday falls between December 21 and January 20, your astrological sign is Capricorn.

Capricorn is a feminine / introverted or negative sign. This implies a sense of caution and a more reserved facet of the Capricorn’s life. They also tend to be sensitive and somewhat distant.

It’s also an Earth sign, which means that it’s associated with a realistic and practical approach to things, while maintaining a strong sense of stability within their lives.

As one of the four cardinal signs, Capricorn signals a change. This change takes the form of autumn to winter in the northern hemisphere, and spring to summer in the southern hemisphere.

In Greek mythology, Capricorn was thought to be the goat that provided milk or ambrosia to Zeus when he was a baby. To show his gratitude, Zeus placed the goat in the sky which became the constellation Capricornus.

People that are born under the Capricorn sign tend to be very practical and hard working individuals. Ambition and persistence are a couple of their hallmark traits. They’re rational, disciplined, and career driven individuals that take a very serious, yet somewhat overly focused approach to their careers. They tend to be in positions of authority, where responsibility and strength is a requirement. It’s best to not stand in the way of a Capricorn and their goals since they’re very competent at what they choose to do.

Some typical career choices for the Capricorn include anything that involves a position of authority. Or anything that requires a methodical approach to things. Lawyers, government officials, managers, politicians, engineers, doctors, and teachers are a few great matches for a Capricorn.

Some famous Capricorns include Howard Hughes, Anwar Sadat, Mao Tse Tung, Louis Pasteur, J. Edgar Hoover, Barry Goldwater, J.R.R. Tolkein, Walter Mondale, Elvis Presley, Richard Nixon, Muhammad Ali, and Dolly Parton to name a few.

Libra – The seventh astrological sign of the zodiac

Written by psychiclineadmin on November 29, 2008

Libra, the scales of balance. The seventh astrological sign of the zodiac

Libra, the scales of balance. The seventh sign of the zodiac

Libra, commonly known as the scales or balance, is the seventh sign of the zodiac. If your birthday falls between September 23 – October 22, then your astrological sign is Libra. It’s origins are that of the constellation that shares its name. But, much like the other signs of the zodiac, Libra is no longer aligned with its constellation due to the precession of the equinoxes. Libra, like Taurus, is ruled by the planet Venus.

Libra is a positive, or masculine / extroverted air sign. It’s also one of the four cardinal signs. These signs are hinge signs in that they mark the change of seasons. Libra marks the change of summer into autumn.

Common traits of the air signs are leadership abilities including the tendency to be forceful and dynamic. At the same time, the air sign also implies the possibility of stubbornness, selfishness, and a somewhat controlling element to them.

From Greek Mythology, Libra got its name from the Greek Goddess of Justice Themis, and her daughter Astraea. Astraea went to the heavens and became the constellation Virgo. She carried with her the scales of justice, which became the neighboring constellation Libra. Interestingly, Libra is the only zodiac symbol that’s based on an inanimate object instead of a living being.

Because Libra represents the time of the year when people reap the rewards of harvest, or the apex of the year it’s often considered the most desirable symbol of the zodiac.

Libras tend to be very sociable and charming individuals. They’re very diplomatic and possess a great ability to compromise in the most difficult situations. They’re cooperative and sensitive to the needs of others. Like the scales themselves, Libras are very fair and balanced. Much of this is due to their logical and analytical thought processes, and the fact that they don’t let their own opinions get in the way of the facts. Typically they tend to be very refined and artistic. They’re also extremely romantic and flirty. If anything, Libras can have a tendency to be too pleasure driven.

Suitable careers for Libras include anything that requires a high degree of impartiality, logic, and analytical abilities. Also, anything related to the arts or refinement and taste. Artists, Entertainers, Designers, decorators, Lawyers, Judges, and Accountants are all some good choices.

Some famous Libras Include John Lennon, Jimmy Carter, Johnny Cochran, Dwight Eisenhower, Dizzy Gillespie, Jim Henson, Timothy Leary, Annie Liebovitz, William Rehnquist, Al Sharpton, and Bruce Springsteen to name a few
