A Thorough Horoscope Reading Can Tell You a lot About Yourself
Written by psychiclineadmin on March 31, 2009
Like gravity, the pull of the sun, moon, and planets have a strong
effect on anyone’s life. A person skilled at horoscope reading can
offer valuable insight and cogent advice to anyone who comes to him or her seeking insight.
The first step in casting a horoscope is discovering the time and date of your birth. You must obtain specific information about the event, either from a long form birth certificate or, if necessary, from a relative. Your date of birth determines your sun sign.
As the sun moves through the zodiac, it appears in various houses or signs, spending a month in each one. Each house has its sign, and also a ruling god or goddess (who symbolizes eternal qualities) an element, and a nature which can be either fixed, cardinal, or mutable.
Thus Libra, for example, is ruled by Venus, goddess of love. Its element is air. Its nature is cardinal, meaning this house is situated where the sun, having wandered to the extreme of the zodiacal band, turns back to continue to traverse the zodiac once more. Because of this turning, the cardinal quality is sometimes called angularity.
The rising sign is the sign that was at the horizon at the time of the client’s birth. In horoscope reading, if a person was born at dawn, their rising sign is the same as their sun sign. If they were born at sunset, then their rising sign is opposite to their sun sign, the way Aries is opposite Libra in the Zodiac. Persons born at noon or midnight (sun time) will find that their rising sign is at a forty five degree angle to their sun sign in the zodiac. For a Libra these signs are Cancer and Capricorn.
Your moon sign is more difficult to calculate, because of the perceived irregularity of the moon’s path through the zodiac. However, it is possible to calculate it, or have it calculated, on line. These are the big three, the sun sign, the moon sign, and the rising sign. A double or triple intensifies the qualities of your sign, whether good or bad.
In general, your sun sign is your essence, the real you. Your moon sign is your emotional side, the way you react to life and love. Your rising sign is the face you show the world and the way you get things done. So as you can see, it is possible to learn a lot about yourself from your horoscope.

Aquarius – The eleventh astrological sign of the zodiac
Written by psychiclineadmin on December 7, 2008
Aquarius, the water bearer or cup bearer, is the eleventh astrological sign of the zodiac. If your birthday falls between January 20 – February 18, your sign is Aquarius.
Aquarius gets its name from the constellation of the same name, yet is no longer aligned with it due to the precession of the equinoxes. It’s a masculine, or positive – extroverted sign that’s now ruled by Uranus.
It’s also an air sign, and one of the four fixed signs. As such, people that are born under the Aquarius sign tend to be very outgoing and sociable types. They’re also typically intellectual and enjoy deep philosophical debates. They’re strong and focused with great stamina, but sometimes this is a disadvantage as they can often be inflexible and unyielding in their opinions.
Aquarius the constellation has several references in mythology. There doesn’t seem to be an agreement on which one is the true origin of the constellation, but one of the most famous is that it is based on Ganymede. Ganymede was a mortal hero and Trojan prince. He was so handsome in fact that Zeus fell in love with him and then abducted him in the form of an eagle. He then sent him to serve as the immortal cup bearer to the gods and to dispense mead to them.
Those that are born under Aquarius are intelligent and strong willed individuals with strong and sometimes conceited opinions. They’re often innovative and revolutionary in their ideas, but can be unpredictable and a little eccentric in achieving them. Some people see them as cold and detached, but as far as the different signs of the zodiac are concerned, they’re some of the most tolerant and altruistic ones. They do have high expectations though, and because of that they can be outspoken and temperamental.
Some good career matches for an Aquarius are ones that involve intellectual pursuits or entertainment. Scientists, researchers, computer programmers, engineers, managers, actors, musicians, and artists are a few that are a good fit.
Famous Aquarians include Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, Lord Byron, John Belushi, Douglas MacArthur, Franklin Roosevelt, Oprah Winfrey, John Travolta, Abraham Lincoln, and Paul Newman to name a few. Scorpio – The eighth astrological sign of the zodiac
Written by psychiclineadmin on December 1, 2008
Scorpio, also known as the scorpion, is the eighth sign of the zodiac. If your birthday is between November 16 – December 15, then your sign is Scorpio. Like most of the other signs, Scorpio is no longer in alignment with the constellation that it’s based upon. This is due to what’s known as the precession of the equinoxes.
As a water sign, Scorpio is considered a negative or feminine / introverted sign, and as such is thought to be very insightful and sensitive. They are also known to possess a very vivid imagination and are quite intuitive. The downside to this is that they can be rigid, or inflexible in their views and beliefs. It’s also one of the four fixed signs along with Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius
Scorpio gets its name from the constellation Scorpius which is the Latin word for scorpion. In the sky it resembles the tail of a scorpion.
According to Greek mythology, the constellation got it’s name when Hera, the wife and sister of Zeus, sent a scorpion to kill Orion the hunter. This appears to be at odds though with the story of how Orion the constellation was named. In that version, Orion is killed by the scorpion and sent to the heavens.
Scorpio was originally ruled by Mars. But since the discovery of the planet Pluto, it has been considered to be ruled by Pluto.
As the eighth sign, Scorpio has some notable associations – birth and death, relationships, and all things related to the occult and psychic matters. An interesting thing to note is the relationship it has with three different animals – the scorpion, the snake, and the phoenix. With these associations come different strengths and powers that are directly related to each of the individual animals. Personal strength, intimidation, and power are three of the most commonly cited ones.
People that fall under the Scorpio sign are often very powerful and determined. They’re frequently intense and ambitious, yet at the same time can be very calm and reserved in the most extreme situations. Scorpios are also very sexual individuals that are filled with passion, yet they can remain quite loyal and devoted.
Career choices for a Scorpio include almost anything that requires a deep analytical mindset. Scientists and researchers, police detectives, and investigators. Other good fits are almost anything in the medical field including therapists and psychologists.
Some famous Scorpios include Albert Camus, Bill Gates, Carl Sagan, Condoleezza Rice, Indira Gandhi, John Adams, Jonas Salk, Joseph Goebbels, Marie Curie, Pablo Picasso, and Teddy Roosevelt to name a few Tags: aquarius, astrology, feminine sign, fixed sign, introverted, Leo, mars, orion, pluto, psychic, scorpio, taurus, water sign, zodiac
